Year #2: SCT Supervision Cohorts

In our first year together, I presented lots of advanced content and we did a lot of mentor coaching—and our group was large. As we move into our second year, I've divided our team into two Cohorts based on the learning goals and areas of focus of each of you, and we’ll spend less time with new material and more on the content, cases and questions each of you brings. The goal of supervision is to help you to develop and refine your professional skills, personal style and ethical practice—in relationship and consultation with me and with some strong peers.

  1. Cohorts will meet just one Thursday a month for two hours with a primary focus on Coaching Supervision and some advanced content. We will meet from November 2020-October 2021 and probably continue into our third year with the same Cohorts.​
  2. Though I will bring resources, supervision is less a "class" and it's not mentor coaching. It's more a wise and customized consultation that will invite you to revisit and metabolize all of that great coaching wisdom you've on-boarded during coach training (more like "rounds" instead of more medical school). I will ask you as members to take turns bringing your projects, experiments, personal challenges and aspirations for us to work on together: Much of it related to how you're learning the skills and presence required by On-Ramps #1-4. All of our work will respect confidentiality--and some of it might even inspire collaborations. 
  3. Each SCT/Supervision Cohort will decide about meeting in-person monthly at SCHQ (as soon as that's possible). 
  4. As before, members will join peer coaching groups, switching triads every three months.​

Though I will be leading other Supervision Cohorts in 2020-2021 (you can click here to read about them), only coaches who have completed the first year with the Shepherd Coach Team will be invited to join a SCT Supervision Cohort. The costs are the same.
